Leigh tried his hand at boxing at the age of 12, and first took up Karate at the age of 16. Family and work commitments forced Leigh to suspend his training. Leigh returned to Karate in 2000 at the Barking Dojo in Blake Avenue under Sensei Tony Gray 5th Dan, Leigh passed his 1st Dan black belt in June 2007 at the cambersands weekend course under Sensei’s Tony Gray 5th Dan & Carl Lindley 5th Dan and his 2nd Dan on the Clacton K.D.F. course in June 2009 under Sensei’s Tony Gray 5th Dan and Steve Scott 6th Dan
Leigh also won a Silver Medal at the 2006 Karate England national championships in the masters open weight category and has twice been the Association senior Kumite champion in th
Leigh is dedicated to his training and still trains a minimum of 4 times a week. Pictured above with Sensei Tony Gray & my Son Robert with our 2nd Dan Certificates.

 

Leigh teaches occasionally at the Parkside dojo in Goodmayes, Ilford.
