Karate Do Federation has had its 1st year and we had become members of the EKF which was our main aim when leaving KDI setting up our own Association insurance was a prority plus giving all members the oppotunity to train on open courses which we did 1st with Sensei Greg Francis 5th Dan Ishinryu , 2nd with Sensei Terry Daley 6th Dan Uechi ryu, & lastly with former World and European Champion sensei Willie Thomas 6th Dan all excellent courses and different which we all enjoyed in 2009,
March 09 was a good time for Lee Rose of the Barking dojo winning his 1st English Title after winning silver and bronzes previously well done Lee
Ross Mathieu from Poplar dojo has competed at International level on several occasions this year gaining more invaluable experience having already winning English and British titles in the last few years international medals are now on his agenda for the future
The summer weekend course in Clacton in June was a excellent weekends training with Sensei Steve scott attending with his NWKA \ KDF students and making the 2009 course the best yet with guest Instructors Davin Pack, & Jujitsu Shihan Malcolm Holmes adding a different flavour to this years course and was very well received by all the students

British Championships was a dissapointment with only 1 medal comming from skdf Sensei Tony Gray took a bronze medal in the masters openweight catagory although sensei Steve Scotts nwka won a batch of medals report on the nwka site .
